Lofotr Viking Festival

The festival is an annual 5 day event involving vibrant presentations of Viking Age history. 100-150 Vikings from home and abroad, markets, live performances, concerts, mock combat, games and competitions – something for everyone, young and old.

The festival takes place by the Viking ship moorings where you will find contemporary buildings like the boathouse and smithy, lots of Viking tents and beautiful natural surroundings. The first festival was arranged in 2004. We aim to ensure high quality, authenticity and enthralling content – for the audience as well as for the Vikings taking part. Thousands of guests arrive every year to take part in the games, the fun, the workshops, to see the fights, sail the Vikingship and enjoy the atmosphere.

Always in August. In 2019: 7-11 August.

2020: August 5th - 9th
