The museum is open during school holidays in winter (Feb, March) and two days during Easter 2021. Groups are always welcome to book their visit inside and outside ordinary opening hours.

There will be activities and experiences for the family during summer 2020 at Lofotr Vikingmuseum. The Viking Chieftain longhouse opens June 1. Starting June 15, there will be extra activities.
We are happy to announce that the museum will be open again, starting from June 1st, 2020.
During the holiday season the museum is open evenings for those of you who wish to take part in a Viking feast. The museum is closed on daytime but exhibiton halls are available on the evenings for the Viking feast.
In addition to the open longhouse, the archaeological exhibition halls and the film, there is more going on on specific days.
Opening hours vary through the year. From May 1 - September 15 the museum is open every day.
The renowned sail- and rigmaker Frode Bjøru will be conducting this work. You are welcome to watch!
Winter, spring and fall, the Vikings are arranging some extra fun on Saturdays. Join us for Saturdays with the Vikings!
In the period Feb 1 - April 30, the museum is open daytime 6 days per week. In addition, you can take part in a Viking feast every evening!
