Visit the Vikings this autumn
Lofotr Viking Museum is open all year with varied opening hours. We offer experiences for locals and visitors in Lofoten. In the reconstructed Viking chieftain's house, you will find craftsmen and guides who are ready to answer any questions you may have about Viking times. The archaeological exhibition consists of unique finds that have been found here at Borg and in the immediate area. The museum gift shop is always open when the museum is open.
In the time ahead, the Lofotr Viking Museum is open:
31.08-13.09, Monday - Saturday at 1200-1600 (closed on Sundays)
14.09-31.10, Wednesday and Saturday at 1200-1600 (two extra days open during the autumn holidays)
In week 41 there is an autumn holiday for the schools in Lofoten and we offer extra activities from Wednesday to Saturday (07.10 - 10.10)
31.10-30.11, Wednesday and Saturday at 1200-1600.
Please read about our measures for infection control before your visit. For the best experience of our audio guide exhibition, we recommend that you bring your own smartphone and headphones - we can unfortunately not lend equipment these days for reasons of infection control.
Viking feasts are not available for individual guests at the moment, but updates will be continuously on our website if anything should change.
Groups can book Viking meals and guided tours by contacting our booking. Groups can pre-book for all days for visits outside opening hours.
