Food & drinks and Museum gift shop
In the museum gift shop, both adults and children will find a selection of nice things. And who does not get hungry from being in the Viking age?
Without food and drink…
In the museum café, we serve hot and cold food, refreshments, and cakes - mainly made with ingredients known to the Vikings, with a modern twist. Tasty barley stew, home-baked bread, locally produced cheeses, and other goodies - young and old will find delicious food here. Coffee, tea, soda, ice cream, and waffles are also on the menu.
The museum café is located next to the museum shop and ticket sales.
Bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed on our premises, either in the café, arrival facility, or in the chieftain's house.
Toys, jewelries, books, clothing
Jewelry for all ages, women, and men. Both replicas and inspired by the Viking age – the museum gift shop offers a wide range. Children's wooden swords, axes, and shields, puzzles, cartoons, and books for all ages are great reminders of a day with the Vikings. If you are feeling a bit cold, or simply wish to bring home a beautiful garment you may find knitted sweaters, hats, scarves along with jackets and t-shirts.
Locally produced soaps, herbs, jams, cheese as well as books on Lofoten, the Viking age, or other local history – welcome to our museum gift shop in the entrance area.
