In September and October, there will be many extra activities for children and adults at the Viking museum. Almost every Saturday you can join in on a different activity (however - some are conducted in the Norwegian language). 

Autumn programme at Lofotr Vikingmuseum

This autumn, there will be many extra (and new) activities with the Vikings in Lofoten. We have activities that are suitable for both large and small. Some activities will take place outdoors (subject to weather conditions), while others will take place indoors. However, note that not all events will be in English.

Saturday, September 19: Guided tour to the boathouse grounds (in Norwegian)
Saturday, September 26: Quiz and campfire bread baking
Saturday, October 3: Quiz and storytime (in Norwegian)
Wednesday, October 7: Textile workshop
Thursday, October 8: Spear and horseshoe throwing
Friday, October 9: Rune Day
Saturday, October 10: Make Viking pizza over a open fire
Saturday, October 17: Beer in the Viking age (best suited for adults - held in Norwegian)
Saturday, October 24: Bædi and Børdi Day (app only in Norwegian)
Saturday, October 31: HalloViking

All activities are included in the entrance fee.
We take infection control seriously. Please read the government guidelines before your visit.

The Viking chieftain's house, archaeological exhibition and museum gift shop are open during the museum's opening hours.
For the best experience of the audio guide exhibition, we recommend that you bring your own smartphone and earphones.
