​In April, spring is fast approaching, the days are much brighter and the dark nights are starting to disappear. Winter with the Vikings in Lofoten is coming to an end, and a warmer time is dawning. 

What's on at Lofotr Vikingmuseum in April?

March 26: Lofotr Vikingmuseum is closed for visitors until further notice. See press release from March 12th.

Opening hours can be found here.
Visit outside opening hours can be booked in advance (groups).

Archeological exhibition, film and the Chieftain's House are open.
Bring your smartphone to listen to the stories about the findings that are displayed.
Viking Feast every evening for individual guests (prebooked) at 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM.
The Museum Gift Shop is open during museum opening hours.

On the following days we have extra activities:
Saturday, April 4: Visit by local Viking reenactment group, "Lofoten Vikinglag". (CANCELLED)
Thursday 9th, Friday 10th, Saturday 11th and Monday 13th of April: Easter activities. We solve an easter puzzle game/other activity. More details announced later. (CANCELLED)
Saturday, April 18: Children's Viking Saturday - Activity will be announced (CANCELLED)
Saturday, April 25: Anniversary event - Lecture (Event held in Norwegian) (POSTPONED)
