What happens in July 2019
In July, very much is going on at the Viking Museum and it is open daily 10:00-19:00. The midnight sun season is over around the middle of the month, but it's still very much buzzing with life. Viking games, rowing or sailing the Viking ship, horseback riding for kids, the Vikings' warm lunch is served in the Chieftain's House, several skilled craftsmen are present and both the indoor and the outdoor cafe are open.

Viking Feast every evening for individual guests (prebooked) at 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM.
The Museum Gift Shop is open during museum opening hours.

There is a lot of activity and a lot going on in the summer months. The artisans demonstrate their skills - and of course you are welcome to have a chat with them! You can try Viking games, sailing or rowing the Viking ship, children can ride horses, the animals on the farm are out on the large outdoor areas. Both adults and children can enjoy and have fun at the museum.
June 1 - August 31:
Extra activities: shoot with bow and arrow, throw axes and learn other important Viking skills. The activities take place at the Viking Ship Harbor, where there is a nice environment with several reconstructed buildings.
June 15 - August 31:
The Viking ship is ready for sailing (or rowing) with the museum's guests.
June 15 - August 15:
Horseback riding for young children at Viking Ship Harbor. Kind Nordland horses are ready to take the kids on a little trip.
Skjeltersjåen Café at the Viking Ship Harbor is open.
Enjoy the Vikings' warm lunch in the Chieftain's House.
